Fair enough, Nina, i understand why you prefer the WPI and so i wouldn't ask you to change your vote over. It's a personal decision, and for the moment i have decided to vote for the National ME/FM Action Network.

I partially agree with Tuha and Jace as well, you're right about the numbers (even though i would rather look at the absolute numbers needed and not wheter it means doubling or quadrupling), but i will switch over now, becasuse i want to try to not let the gap get too big, so in case we can bring in new voters we will be in a better position. I agree there is some danger and so i would not suggest we give the entire 1200 votes to the Action Network, even if we were able to do that (and we're not). In my opinion they should get a part of the votes now and then we need more voters. I don't agree with the term "to poach" though, no voter is the property of any charity, so i don't feel this is what we are talking about. No matter if they will win in the end or not, i want to at least give it a try.

I agree with Nina. All this counting chickens before they are hatched still worries me. The key lies in going out there and persuading more people to vote every day, not poaching votes from other charities. NME/FMN need to more than quadruple their votes to win their region. The WPI need 2 1/2 times their votes to win overall. Which is the easier to achieve?
Point of information: it isn't correct to say that "the WPI need 2 1/2 times their votes to win overall." What I calculated (approx.) was that the WPI had to get 1,600 more than the top group each day: so not 1,000 + 1,600 but top group average (3,000?) + 1,600 per day.

But just to say, i would expect the same solidarity from the regular National ME/FM Action Network voters as well. If the WPI were to get in danger later in the contest and it would be clear the NM/FAN can't win, i would expect them all to vote for the WPI.

Besides the fact that conejo doesn't appear on the list, do we have any other proof that Vivint has disqualified them?
Someone who votes for them claims they were able to vote this morning. Is this possible? Is it possible that if you voted befor for them, they will still appear at the voting site?
Is it possible that Vivint is just adjusting their data by disqualifying "the troublesome votes" and then they will be back?
I don't want to put us in a vulnerable position where we think we are fine now and then get hit from left field.

Vivint has posted this on their wall
Sabrina, as Eric stated, we have taken action against any such practice from charaties participating in Vivint Gives Back. Of course we want the votes to be fair. Thank you for your great concern in the matter.
So, even though i can also still access their page, i think they are out. Their page now says 17'412 votes, so you might check later if there are more, but i think from what Vivint has said it's clear.

I don't know, maybe you should ask them. Yesterday CFS Info said they are officially gone and that Vivint has confirmed that, but you would have to ask her, i don't know the exact content of Vivint's message.

But in my opinion Conejo without bought votes would be less dangerous than Invisible Children.

It Gets Better Project has gone from 18th position on the 6th July to now 5th position. Still low numbers - 4024 votes however, but what makes Invisible Children more scary? Past history in one of these contests? Can someone fill me in please?

I'm off to bed now - it's midnight!!

It Gets Better seem to get around 70 or so votes per day, so they are still very far from what they would need to beat the WPI. I don't know about their past history in contests or if they had any spikes though. Invisible Children have won the CHASE contest with around 100'000 votes, if i remember correctly, and they have around 400'000 followers on Facebook. That's why i'm much more worried about them.

I sent an e-mail to Vivint asking them what the status of Conejo is. When I hear back from them, I'll post it.

A few weeks ago, there were 99 groups for a short period. Then a group appeared with 0 votes. I think I checked and this was a new group i.e. I presume they were replacing a group that was thrown out.

I'm pretty sure they're out. When I got up this morning, their page was still there and it appeared to be functional. A couple hours ago the link, instead of going to their page, started redirecting to the standings. Their voting reminder event on facebook is gone too. I promised that if Vivint took action against the cheating that I'd shout it from the rooftops, so here I go.

I feel no glee at this - I'm sorry that the kids served no longer have the chance to benefit from this.

I spoke with them on the phone and was told they are definitly disqualifed. At the time of the call, they were still showing. They said they would be removed by the end of the day and they were. You don't have to worry about them again - at least in this contest.

Glad to hear cfs info. I never got a response to my e-mail so it's good you called.
Thanks.

I can see that Invisible Children seem to have increased their daily votes a bit now. So we should keep an eye on them.

It's ok to watch them but, there is no possibility in my mind that they could be a danger for us.

Right now WPI has 38,410 there are 37 more days of voting. If we continue to see 900 votes a day the total will be: 71,710
Invisible has 4,253 with daily of 234 now. Let's go crazy and say they will get 600 votes from now on their total will be:26,453

I have voted for the National ME/FM Action Network for the past couple of days and i won't switch back over to the WPI yet, but Invisible Children have 400'000 fans on Facebook. They have won CHASE last year (or another year, i'm not sure anymore) with around 100'000 votes. They could easily get a couple of thousands per day. I'm not expecting it, but it's possible.
