Theodore Henderson is a psychologist who practices in Denver. He has treated over 200 adults and over 30 adolescents with ME/CFS (patients are diagnosed after Fukuda criteria). He has not yet published the study with the adults. The results of the study with the young people reflects everything in the "adult study" (it will soon be presented).
92% of adolescents and 85% of adults responded to antiviral therapy
Patients were treated with the antiviral, valacyclovir (Valtrex), at a dose of 1000 mg twice a day. Only one patient experienced nausea and discontinued the antiviral. Improvement occurred over the course of 3-5 months. 86% of the patients responded by 3 months, and 92% responded by 5 months.
The overall score on the MFSI-scale fell from 23,31 to 1,1 and the energy level increased from 4.54 to 16,50. It is amazing and a fantastic result!
A critical conclusion is that many patients are misdiagnosed for depression when they actually have a physical illness that can be treated with medicals.

Montoya and colleagues reported a 75% response rate to another antiviral, valganciclovir, in ME/CFS patients with high IgG titers to EBV and HHV-6.

52% of 500 CFS patients felt better by Dr. John Chias antiviral Equilibrant (containing oxymatrine). He treats enteroviruses which he demonstrated in 82% of those with CFS.
