Maraviroc is now offered as generica with 60cent per 300mg. So I dont think there is a need for herbal alternatives ( I doubt any herb can come anywhere close to invivo activity)

(maraviroc) – First-time generic On February 7, 2022, Camber Pharmaceuticals launched Hetero’s AB-rated generic version of ViiV Healthcare’s Selzentry (maraviroc) 150 mg and 300 mg tablets. Probably better to buy this 300mg costs 60cent the site reads. Thats 1.2USD per day - maybe worth for a few Long Covid Patients if they still want to test the Patterson Protocol. https://www.camberpharma.com/products/maraviroc/

Hi, anyone know where to buy maraviroc. Over £1000 in Uk and US. I have found it in India but I am a little worried about product integrity
How do you know it costs over £1000 in the UK? You need a prescription to buy it don't you?

Posted a new thread here to discuss other possible routes, which might show potent inhibition of a wider spectrum of viruses (inc SARS-COV-2 - which the above compound doesn't appear to do if I read the paper right?), provide some immune modulation, balance gut bacteria (potentially) and quell herpes viruses at the same time.
Andrographis is good, inexpensive, and easy to find.

How is it even possible to acquire Maraviroc whhich is a HIV druge for Long Covid since the FDA have not
approved it for treatment of Long covid? You Americans seem to be able to get stuff.

Yes but andro has side effects. Waking up at 5am with terrible hunger pains is one. Drying the body out is another. It's also supposedly very hard on the kidneys.

I went through Bruce Patterson’s company called incelldx. Had their blood test where they look at elevated cytokine levels etc as a result of the vaccine. They put me in touch with a UK Dr who will prescribe Maraviroc as part of a protocol.
I am quite nervous about taking it and the side effects it may cause as I am pretty sensitive to meds

In light of Dr. Bruce Patterson's discovery that Maraviroc is effective in treating long-haul covid, whether caused by covid infection itself or by vaccine-induced long haul. I began searching for an herbal alternative. Japan most certainly will not start admistering an experimental treatment anytime soon.

Extracts of the medicinal herb Sanguisorba officinalis inhibit the entry of human immunodeficiency virus-1

Jumping in here. I've been on the search for alternatives for his protocol for months. Initially interested in the zi cao, Shikonin route, but finding clean sources without PA's, heavy metals etc seems impossible.
I've managed to find a few other options that 'may' have similar functions, but I need someone smarter than me to confirm that.
From my understanding, the primary goals are:
Inhibit or tamp down fractalkine/CX3CR1 to turn off the survival mechanism, so in time the S1 carrying monocytes will go into apoptosis.
Antagonize or reduce CCR5/RANTES to prevent the non-classical monocytes from getting to the blood vessels/endothelium.
Repolarization of monocytes (to return them back to their prior states so the body has the opportunity to kill them for for good.)
To potentially raise CCL4 and T-cells at this point so they can have a proper second swing at it.

This is what I've created, I can link to resources on all of this if needed, if anyone thinks I might have something here.

CX3CL1 fractalkine reduction:
Resveratrol
Berberine
Alpha lipoic acid
Aspirin
Saffron extract

Raising CCL4
vitamin A

Raising T-Cells
Vitamin D, C

(Statin function alternative)
Ursolic acid>cathepsin B inhibition>fractalkine down regulation

Punica granatum extracts against cathepsin D
"Rosemary leaf extract" highest source of ursolic acid, down regulates cathepsin B and in turn down regulates Fractalkine.

CCR5 antagonist (maravirac alternative)
Andrographis
Grape seed extract
Exercise
Resveratrol
Berberine
Coq10
NMN / NAD IV increasing eNAMPT (inhibiting CCR5) * this one's looking to be the most promising! Might explain why people are getting better with NAD+ IV therapy.

Monocyte repolarization from M1 to M2
Vitamin C - 500 mg, twice a day
Omega 3 - once a day
Atorvastatin or Pravastatin as prescribed
Melatonin – Two to 10mg at bedtime
Vitamin D3/K2 - 5000 IU each day (optimum Vitamin D level is 60-100)
Intravenous immunoglobulin therapy (IVIG)

AVOID:
Vitamin A may raise CCR5 receptors
Milk thistle may raise genes related to CCR5

All of these were found from rigorous reading for months, I really hope there's some value or potential to it.

Be wary of this one, one of the other uses (and why I took it) is in dealing with microclots as its has antiplatelet action. There is a limited time you can take this before your blood will just stop clotting. Make sure you have some lancets and can test how you are clotting on a weekly basis so you know when to stop, you do not want to find out your blood isn't clotting after you first cut yourself.

I'm sorry but I don't think there is going to be anyone here smarter than you.

That is amazing research.

But if I take them now they have absolutely no effect. So whatever caused my ME seemed to get worse over time.

It's probably not that your ME is worse, it's that ME adapts to treatments. There seems to be something in ME's core dysfunction that tried to keep us in this state.

Hi @MeiMei

Amazing research here putting together an alternative to Patterson’s protocol. I came across this before I realised who Patterson was as I had a high cholesterol reading from the doctor after realising my illness is ME and added rosemary oil to try and get my cholesterol down.

Just wondering, have you gone ahead with this protocol and seen any results? I’m considering statin + Maravoric, but think I might try this first as a primer. Be interested to hear if you’ve had a shot at it.
