"Used in herbal medicine, sanguisorba is called Di Yu in Traditional Chinese Medicine, where the leaves and roots are both used in preparing herbal medicines. 1,2 Sanguisorba Health Uses and Health Benefits Sanguisorba has several traditional uses, including helping to stop bleeding by boosting blood clotting. "

Sorry to be really basic, but do we want to increase clotting if there is micro clotting already from Cov? Or maybe it helps normalise clotting function.

Jumping in here. I've been on the search for alternatives for his protocol for months. Initially interested in the zi cao, Shikonin route, but finding clean sources without PA's, heavy metals etc seems impossible.
I've managed to find a few other options that 'may' have similar functions, but I need someone smarter than me to confirm that.
From my understanding, the primary goals are:
Inhibit or tamp down fractalkine/CX3CR1 to turn off the survival mechanism, so in time the S1 carrying monocytes will go into apoptosis.
Antagonize or reduce CCR5/RANTES to prevent the non-classical monocytes from getting to the blood vessels/endothelium.
Repolarization of monocytes (to return them back to their prior states so the body has the opportunity to kill them for for good.)
To potentially raise CCL4 and T-cells at this point so they can have a proper second swing at it.

This is what I've created, I can link to resources on all of this if needed, if anyone thinks I might have something here.

CX3CL1 fractalkine reduction:
Resveratrol
Berberine
Alpha lipoic acid
Aspirin
Saffron extract

Raising CCL4
vitamin A

Raising T-Cells
Vitamin D, C

(Statin function alternative)
Ursolic acid>cathepsin B inhibition>fractalkine down regulation

Punica granatum extracts against cathepsin D
"Rosemary leaf extract" highest source of ursolic acid, down regulates cathepsin B and in turn down regulates Fractalkine.

CCR5 antagonist (maravirac alternative)
Andrographis
Grape seed extract
Exercise
Resveratrol
Berberine
Coq10
NMN / NAD IV increasing eNAMPT (inhibiting CCR5) * this one's looking to be the most promising! Might explain why people are getting better with NAD+ IV therapy.

Monocyte repolarization from M1 to M2
Vitamin C - 500 mg, twice a day
Omega 3 - once a day
Atorvastatin or Pravastatin as prescribed
Melatonin – Two to 10mg at bedtime
Vitamin D3/K2 - 5000 IU each day (optimum Vitamin D level is 60-100)
Intravenous immunoglobulin therapy (IVIG)

AVOID:
Vitamin A may raise CCR5 receptors
Milk thistle may raise genes related to CCR5

All of these were found from rigorous reading for months, I really hope there's some value or potential to it.
I am very impressed with your research skills and would love it if you could send me any and all information you have acquired so far. I too have been searching for a natural alternative to Maraviroc as I don't want to deal with the side effects. Please PM me if you would like to share resources. I did want to note that Red Yeast Rice is a natural alternative to taking a statin. It acts just like a statin, yet without the side effects. I have been taking it for 4 months with phenomenal effects. Thank you so much for all the info you shared!

I read about Tollovid during COVID-19 and I purchase the herb which it uses called Lithospermum Erythrochizon (Extract) common name is Gromwell Root. The TCM PinYin name is Zi Cao and I purchased a 5:1 powder extract of it sold in 100g containers. I tried it and it made my spleen enlarge and become very painful so I had to stop it. I am certain that I have Lyme disease when I was bitten by a tick therefore it might of had some effect against that despite it not being a virus. Some TCM herbs do also have antibacterial effects. It hurt too much to continue because I was concerned that my spleen might burst/rupture. It fairly quickly went back to normal after I stopped it.

Isatis indigotica Root (Ban Lan Gen) is another Chinese TCM herb which has strong antiviral properties which is also active against COVID-19 and also the common cold and flu viruses. I do have some of that but I am saving it for it's antibacterial properties and don't want to expose the pathogens to it until I am able to destroy them. I am still looking for herbs against Klebsiella pneumoniae because I want multiple antimicrobials to hit it with when I have a go at destroying it. I don't want to give them any further opportunities to adapt to antimicrobials because they have been give far too many chances. Turkey Tail Rhubard had the strongest effect against the pathogen causing my ME and Clove essential oil is effective against their Efflux Pumps and Quorum Sensing.

I should mention that Isatis is cold in energy and isn't recommended to be used for long periods because it can have negative effects on the kidneys. That's what TCM recommends anyway. Many herbs have anti-inflammatory effects which Chinese cool and cold herbs tend to have and many have COX-2 inhibiting effects which too much can have damaging effects on the kidneys. It's a matter of degree, too much of anything can be damaging, too much inflammation or too many anti inflammatories/antioxidants. Isatis is best for short term use.
