I think they are trying to get them down. My theory is that the links are working for people who activated them earlier in the week, but not to new viewers. All of the links in this thread work for me, but they obviously don't work for others. I think it is something Conejo simply cannot stop, no matter how hard they try.
no poster girl has done a stupendous amount of work today. I'm anxious to see her blog when it comes up.

Helen well done but shouldn't you have pushed the 'No' button for display on your facebook page so that you don't perpetuate the possibility of your friends voting for Conejo if they see it?

this is the voting record from 7/11 to 7/17, Conejo (red) were on 250 a day until the 13th. While some of their vote-buying sites have been taken down, this graph suggests that there are still some out there.

you are absolutely right. I didn't even think of it, I was more conflicted about having to waste one more vote. I'm off to delete that post right now

Stats for July 16 - Conejo still beating WPI by a small margin - this is definitely something that we can correct if everyone is vigilent about voting...

32466 + 959 = 33425
10722 + 156 = 10878
13370 + 1164 = 14534
7213 + 81 = 7294
5007 + 85 = 5092
3864 + 28 = 3892
3758 + 30 = 3788
3644 + 28 = 3672
3487 + 41 = 3528
2502 + 49 = 2551
1999 + 19 = 2018
2081 + 20 = 2101
1948 + 27 = 1975
1033 + 3 = 1036
987 + 7 = 994
1274 + 12 = 1286
1101 + 23 = 1124
504 + 3 = 507
3733 + 44 = 3777
206 + 3 = 209

18400 + 341 = 18741
8024 + 132 = 8156
4490 + 144 = 4634
4017 + 91 = 4108

That graph is good to see, jace - WPI have such a head start that even if Conejo continue at the same level, we'll win (and I would hope that Vivint would squish them long before the end of the contest).

I disagree. If Conejo gets within 10,000 votes of WPI in the final week they have proven they can buy enough votes in the last week to win. WPI supporters can complain to Vivint, but Vivint has not disqualifed Conejo for buying votes and probably won't. We need more people to get facebook accounts and vote, or I believe WPI will not win the $100,000.

I, too, am worried as to what Conejo may do in the last week or two. If they know that Vivint won't disqualify them for selling votes, what's to stop them? If they are not far behind the WPI, I feel pretty sure they will do whatever it takes to win.

We need Vivint to do something (and more votes), i think that's clear. So far the reaction from Vivint sounded quite good, but of course we will only know for sure once they really do something.

I complained on the 14th that I didn't get credited for my vote. I just got a response today from customer service on the voting site. "After reviewing our records and the advertiser's records, we have decided to credit your account. The currency will appear in the account within 24 hours" I'm starting to think those 43 razoos might be worth a lot of money!
Once again, I forwarded the screenshot to Vivint.

I put a new post up last night (while Phoenix Rising was down) with some interesting findings. Paying for Votes in Vivint Gives Back: Emptying Out gWallet.

The trouble is, I know there are offers elsewhere because of all of the people outside North America who are posting comments on the Vivint wall for no apparent reason.

A few of them are fans of the facebook app EasyCash!, where there were compensation offers during Chase. There's another bunch that are fans of PeopleDeals/PeopleString. And there's several others who are fans of both Modelo Especial and Heineken, but have little else in their profiles. But figuring out where the rubber meets the road here is going to take more than just some Googling. I'm trying some things, but we're going to need a fair bit of luck to turn up more evidence.

Maybe you-know-who is paying for votes outside the U.S., figuring we won't be able to find them.

I think with all the evidence that is already there it should be enough for Vivint to take action. They probably need some time to look at all of it, but then it's a matter of how they handle these things. The cheating is obvious. Of course it's good to get more and more evidence...I'm starting to wonder how much of the 100'000$ (or 250'000$) these people are willing to invest in buying votes. They most likely have already bought a 4 digit number of votes. If they get disqualified they might make quite a loss.

I would hope at this point that Vivint will be able to act. I did not anticipate that I would end up being paid for my vote. The fact that I was, that I can still vote again today, and there was no mention of the offer being taken down by customer service shocks me.
I don't know who initially set this up, but obviously the charity hasn't stopped it or customer service would not have paid me.

I think we have some great evidence, and Vivint knows that we have evidence, so they would have to be worried about a public relations problem if they are not disqualified and the evidence goes public. Every day that goes on with these sites still working just continues to build the case.
