Since we have ME, a very serious disease with a metabolic component, for those PWME where it could work I believe it will only work if we are going to therapeutic levels of ketosis, similar to other diseases where this is used as a treatment (cancer, epilepsy). Therefore we have to manage what we eat religiously and have to accurately measure our GKI from blood at regular intervals and make adjustments if needed.
I do get what you are saying here but the migraines I am getting are killers and don't go away. This is partly because I haven't eaten any carb from 6 pm till 7 am so I just have to add a tiny snack around 8.30 pm to try and prevent this. It's only about 3 or 4 gm net carbs with good fats and I also need to have around 8 gm carbs for breakfast for the same reason. I have read of a few others with severe migraines who seem unable to go lower than 35 or 40 net grams of carb.
