My daughter's symptoms have always been made significantly worse by cinnamon, turmeric and ginger. Increased headache is one of the main symptoms she'd get with these. I'd been assuming that it had to do with the fact that they all have some blood thinning and blood pressure lowering effect. She already has low bp and orthostatic intolerance/POTS. Anything that would thin her blood would make POTS worse and increase headache. Or maybe it's more complex as some of you cleverer people have outlined above.

As far as I can recall, it was just a general worsening of all my ME symptoms. It seems to be the same effect I get from other peroxynitrite scavengers, so that's likely the cause.
I’m having worsening from Longvida even half dose, I am severe so am stopping after 1 month, disappointing but can’t risk further deterioration. Would be interested what supps are peroxynitrite scavengers? I saw somewhere here Curcumin can worsen ATP but can’t find it now.

I remember finding a list of peroxynitrite scavengers. IIRC, cinnamon was #1, and rosemary was in the top 5 too. Can't remember the others. FWIW, I don't seem to react to reasonable amounts of cinnamon now. I haven't tried a full tsp. Now I'm wondering if that sensitivity disappeared when I stopped getting PEM.
