I can relate to admiring a really great BM.....!
Sometimes I think I should get out the camera!

Well, kiwi is a natural laxative. I usually eat 1 green kiwi per day and I feel it slightly helps with constipation. Could be though that gold kiwi or gold kiwi capsules have added benefits to boost butyrate levels.
It's worth keeping in mind that kiwifruit contains actinidin, which has been shown to disrupt intestinal barrier integrity and have a pro-inflammatory effect (see here). If you're seeing a benefit from kiwifruit, it may be due to the pectin content or the polyphenols. Many other fruits contain pectin, and you might be able to find either supplements or whole fruits which have a similar polyphenol profile (kiwifruit polyphenols are assayed in this article). My money's on quercetin/rutin as big contributors to the benefits of kiwi due to their mast cell stabilizing effects.
Well, my skepticism is less now. I started taking the Gold kiwi powder three days ago, and let's just say (to avoid TMI) that the results have been spectacular! The question is, will this continue??
Just an update - my gut's spectacular response the golden kiwi prebiotic supplement has disappeared, and the constipation has returned. This is even with a golden kiwi prebiotic capsule, a probiotic capsule, a Phage 1 capsule, kefir, and a banana all part of my diet yesterday.
It’s like whatever is causing the constipation initially retreats but then learns to work it’s way around whatever I throw at it. Has anyone else had a similar experience with their diet/supplements?
I noticed the biggest changes when I started taking 1 to 2 tsps of inulin per day and 1 tsp of FOS
