SIBO treatment

Do any of you have or had SIBO and found success with a treatment protocol?

I just tried and failed at taking the gold standard antibiotic, Rifaximin, as the side effects proved too harsh for me. Considering what to try next.

Any thoughts or personal experiences you want to share?

Be aware that any antimicrobials that you take will make the pathogens which are causing your CFS/ME/Fibro more resistant. That will reduce the number of antimicrobial choices that can be used to destroy them.

The same goes for any herbal treatments.
Your stomach is where the problems lie because if that was working normally, stomach acid would destroy bacteria before they reached your small intestine because that is how it is meant to function.

Investigate urease enzyme because chances are that might be what is contributing to the problem(s).
