I have ordered some spirulina. I hope it makes it through the stomach. It also has fatty acids! I had accidentally bought some from Swanson's that is coated, but haven't taken it because of everything in the coating. I wonder if it's actually okay. I'll get a list of what all is in it in the morning.
I'm hoping it of course helps with energy production. Energy production in pwME/CFS can be broken at the pyruvate/pyruvate dehydrogenase. If that's where my energy production is broken, and if the spirulina helps, it may also help clear up lactate production.
But there is also the hypoxia involvement, which maybe I will be able to think about some more in the morning if I have any brain energy.
The lactate issue is what started me thinking about this...again.
I am also hoping it improves, or at best, stops the breakdown of collagen in my skin.
