LOL the main constituent of smog is ozone. https://www.epa.gov/ground-level-ozone-pollution/ground-level-ozone-basics
However, I think getting it that way is a very bad idea. There is carbon monoxide and other hazardous chemicals in smog. Anyway, carbon monoxide binds to oxygen molecules, so I doubt you'd derive much benefit.

I have not heard that before. I used the tubing which came with my machine. What issues are ozone unsafe tubes supposed to create?

Apparently the ozone breaks down the plastic and causes the chemicals in it to leech out

The tubing I have that came with my ozone machine looks rubbery rather than plastic, so I assume it's OK. I've used my machines for years without trouble.

If it is causing the rubber/plastic or whatever the material is made from to leech chemicals, it’s probably not something that would be instantly noticeable
