I've just been checking through the leadership category, and I've now realised that we currently have the most votes in the leadership category! :star::star::star::rocket::rocket::rocket::trophy:

:trophy::trophy::trophy:

Have I been a bit slow to catch on? :ill::sleep: Now I understand your second graph, @Hutan! Your graph shows us competing with the two closest competitors in the leadership category, in terms of votes? And that we've been in the lead since the 28th August? Why am i so slow? :confused:

The next competitor (Tracy Leaver; Woodlands Wildlife Refuge) has 27,640 votes.

Anyway...

This is great news! Yippeeeeee!!!!! :cake::bow::gift::trophy::bouquet::tulip::music::cocktail::cocktail::cocktail:. :)

Ok, I hope you had that coffee. If you come to this thread to get away from data analysis, look away now.

Now that we (Blue Ribbon) are leading the Leadership category, I took a look at what is going on in the other categories. Below is the list of the leaders in each category plus any others that are contenders. I've also listed the increase in the number of votes over the last 24 hours.

Category: Organisation.............................Votes as at 4/9.................Daily increase 3/9 to 4/9 2016

Leadership: Blue Ribbon............................28,722..............................338
Leadership: Woodlands Wildlife.................28,034..............................394
Character: Etosha Animals.........................14,511...............................55
Courage: Wild Horse.................................33,048..............................247
Devotion: Devoted Barn............................441,927.............................180
Devotion: Friends of Felines.......................75,511..............................705
Heroism: Beauty's Equine............................8,694...............................357
Survival: Journey's End...............................21,402..............................268

So, some points worth noting:

1. Yes, we are leading the Leadership category, but only just and the Woodlands people had more votes than us in the last 24 hours.

2. Every single contender in this competition except for us has cute furry animals. At least we are different which may help when it comes time for judging.

3. The Devoted Barn has a staggering 440,000 votes. How a single animal shelter can get this many votes is beyond me. I wouldn't get despondent about that large number though, I imagine the judges will be giving it quite a bit of scrutiny. Interesting to note that yesterday's voting for the Devoted Barn was only 180 votes.

4. Actually, we are well in the running. I felt quite cheered by this. We may not be able to head off The Devoted Barn or the Friends of Felines, but, at this point, we could easily end up third in terms of numbers of votes.

@Hutan Wow, I don't think I realized that! Is that pure coincidence or was this competition supposed to be for animal related entries? It is hard to compete with cute animals in general so we are doing quite well!

My comment was just about the organisations that I listed above - the ones that have got a lot of votes. There are quite a few organisations that do good things for humans in the competition, but many of them have just a handful of votes.

Yeah, perhaps if it was proven that cats get CFS, fundraising would get a whole lot easier.

Oops, sorry for misunderstanding that and thank you for clarifying!

LOL. I am deathly allergic to cats my whole life and am not a cat person although I love dogs to the point my dog (in my new avatar) is like my child LOL. :dog::heart:

Yes @Gingergrrl, I noticed your new avatar - gorgeous.

And me too for the cat allergy. Frankly the trick would be proving most cats I know don't have CFS - there seems to be a lot of lying around in the sun.

Thanks and that is my real doggie vs. my first avatar which was an image I found on-line that was her doppelganger. I liked my 2nd avatar but it was too similar to GG's and a few others and I wanted something new.

LOL :cat::sleep::sleep::sleep:
