Hi Leaves,
The lyme community just finished their Lyme Awareness Car Rally in which many from the ME/CFS community participated in. I think they even placed first if I remember correctly.
CALDA (California Lyme Disease Association) would be one of the largest groups to contact, they're already on FB and they have a very large following. I'd do this myself if I could right now.

How to find the leaderboard
The leaderboard can be found by clicking the leaderboard tab just under the big blue hand at the top left of the screen. It's only updated twice a day and seems to be well behind the game at the moment, since votes are accumulating so quickly.
To get a current picture, you can go to the leaderboard and then click on each charity to see how they're doing. It's rather arduous to do that but interesting!
Currently, just checking the top five on the leaderboard, in the order that they appear on the board, their current votes are:
1. Youth Education in the Arts 1220
2. International Wolf Centre 1157
3. Joyful Heart Foundation 727
4. WPI 692
5. Drum Corps 780
So WPI is in 5th place at the moment (possibly lower since I didn't check below that rank on the leaderboard).
Some of these charities sound quite obscure to me (drum corps?) but if they're in the contest they must be big because of the high income criterion this time, so they will all have a lot of supporters.
So if you haven't voted, vote now! And ask your friends to do the same!

This is really good stuff, jace - but you can't vote every day! We've each just got 10 votes in this round and can't vote for any charity more than once.

One option might be to just try it without allowing access and seeing if it works. All my Facebook info is false (privacy!) and set up using an email address I just use as a spamcatcher which avoids this sort of dilemma but for normal Facebook users there's all this stuff...
I vaguely remember that you had to allow Facebook share information with an application connected with Chase Community Giving to be allowed take part (it's nearly a year now so I can't remember the details).

I can't remember the details, but I remember reading them last year and not seeing anything bad (and I'm a stickler for privacy) - check the contest rules and it's somewhere in there if you're concerned.
Nothing shows up anywhere publicly on Facebook or anywhere else other than you Like the Chase Giving application.

I have posted this to my contesting friends, and have had 6 people tell me that they like the site, but when they try to vote it just tells them to like again. It might be because Facebook had some problems the last couple of days, but have posted the problem on the Chase reviews page
Hi Ritto - sounds like you've had some problems - thanks for sticking with it! Lots of us have problems with doing stuff online - as you can see from the beginning of the thread, I had to edit my instructions a couple of times to get them smooth and other people's comments helped me do it. Any time you ask for help you're helping other people who are having the same problems but are too tired to post a question.
This will be especially helpful when we go to round 2! Absolutely every vote will count then.
I've posted this on the sticky too. Remember, round one ends on the 4th May at midnight, ET, and round two begins on the 19th May and runs for a week. A good ME/CFS awareness day dodge would be to publicize the second round.
