I know that under certain circumstances, a CT flexion scan has been used to successfully diagnose CCI. What is the exact description of the scan that needs to be performed? And very importantly, is contrast dye required? If so, does the scan produce any useful results without contrast dye?

@Hip is probably right--that is a richer place to get info. Noting that you said clearly 'flexion' and not 'rotation' --so understanding that this may not be at all helpful, I still thought to let you know that Dr. Fraser's office required I have a CT in rotation without contrast. And that was the image that allowed them to diagnose AAI.
