i used to love butter, but i seam to get diarrhea from it recently :/
so there are supplements? guess i order some
Pancreatic enzymes are needed such as for the fat. Lipase works with bile from the liver to break down fat molecules so they can be absorbed and used by the body. Deficiency can cause diarrhea and/or fatty stools.
Under inflammation bile also appears to be reduced. It seems to suggest that pancreatic enzymes would be helpful with meals during that time. https://pancan.org/facing-pancreati...cancer/diet-and-nutrition/pancreatic-enzymes/
supplements I found online, so it's good for a quick "Will supplemental butyrate make a difference?" experiment. What I don't know is whether swallowing some butter actually elevates butyrate levels in the colon. That's not clear for the various supplements either. Buy special time-delay capsules? Suppository capsules?
Eating foods with butyrate in them should help elevate levels (assuming you are absorbing them as above and the food actually is not deficient such as not grass fed for example) but supplements should be useful in that regard. Whether it requires anything special for best delivery is really speculative as I've generally found things have worked in many cases without all the hyped added absorption boosters but its good to know there are different options and plenty of people who can report what helps.
