Good afternoon, I would like to clarify a subject that is happening here in Brazil, many people are having symptoms of long covid even though they have not tested positive for covid neither igg nor igm.
I would like to make it clear that this is my case. I had a sexual encounter with a person I didn't know and despite having used a condom in almost every sexual act (only oral without a condom), I developed a chronic disease, something that is very similar to sfc/longo covid, my clarification would be that maybe there was a pathogen other than the covid that is actually causing "long covid"?

what do you think about it?

Long COVID and ME/CFS produce near identical symptoms, and may well be the same disease. So if someone has these symptoms, but are negative for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies, they may just have ME/CFS, which is linked to certain enteroviruses and herpesviruses.

Dr John Chia says chronic enterovirus infection in ME/CFS can only be reliably detected with a high-sensitivity antibody test which uses the neutralization method. Antibody neutralization tests for enterovirus are very hard to find, but there is actually one on Brazil:

Fleury Lab in Sau Paulo, Brazil offer a coxsackievirus B antibody neutralization test.

The two enteroviruses linked to ME/CFS are coxsackievirus B and echovirus, with CVB being more common in ME/CFS patients.
