Curious how many people on this forum are in the early stages called post viral fatigue. Under 6 months or even under a year ?
I am 4 months and few days in. Curious how your progression has been this past year, how it started. How functional you are and what treatments you have tried? Any improvements? What works and what makes you worse?
I crashed Jan 27th 3 weeks after i had a 2 week cold. I was running my body on empty, dieting, falling short on nutrients and ignoring rest that i should of taken. Chronic back pain which i ignored. I been bedridden first 3 months.
This past 1 month ive graduated to a recliner chair in my living room. I do not sit with it reclined most of the time. I stay up in it from about noon until bedtime. I sleep poorly at night.
The bedridden part was very hard as i had ortho intolerance. I did not have a drop in BP but i had an increase in heart rate heart pounding and activity intolerance. Felt sick and like passing out if i didnt go back to laying down. Managed through quick showers sitting on a stool.
Every day i tried walking down my hallway just gently and slowly increased it but i would get into crashes and then would have to start all over. Hardest was going to doctors or lab because was so hard to be up i felt like passing out.
Now i struggle badly with recurring flu like symptoms. My body just feels sick, i feel toxic. Feel like i have fever but dont. I get irritated sinus throat and chest but no congestion or true cold or infection. I sneeze sometimes as well. This flu like thing comes in waves...it stays for few days then retreats for few days maybe a week until it picks up strength again. It wipes me right out. I hope this cycle will stop i cant stand it. Always comes on in afternoon. I always wake in morning feeling ok.
I havent done any treatments.
Curious how it is for you guys and whats helping you ?
