@Luxintenebrislucet I have shared your posts with Dr W. (UK ME specialist) and he says they need to test your urine....(if you can produce enough)........and check whether it contains protein. Also he says you must have your supine and then your standing BP measured. It certainly sounds like a kidney disorder and could be, he says, nephrotic syndrome.

@Countrygirl Interesting. How come orthostatic blood presssure is relevant?
Do you know if trace protein is significant or if occasional issues with antidiuretic hormone is seen?
I was quoting Dr Weir as I sent him the OP's description of the problem and he phoned me about it.

He was probably considering low blood volume to be a factor and certainly one that should be taken into consideration.

Protein is certainly a sign that there is a kidney problem while low levels of ADH is regularly found in ME and treated with desmopressin. Dr Weir always advises that plasma and urine osmolarity be checked to determine the level of ADH. However, I don't think that is relevant here.

I had similar symptoms but it was accompanied by heavy blood loss and very large clots for several days. I too had a swollen belly and face, was unable to pee, and finally was given a diagnosis of glomerulonephritis. Maybe it is the same in this case?

Not sure why i didnt think of this before, but cant all the symptoms be explained by hyponatremia-low blood levels of sofium

Without sodium you cant push fluid outbsonit leads to swelling. Anfmd presumably one cant get rid of fluids thru urination either. Then in ER yiu could finally urinate after they gave you saline. Or sm i missing something??

What was the outcome of this? Anyone know?
