Spotted this article earlier: a study about vagal stimulation being used to combat some of the stresses of ageing, by reducing sympathetic dominance. Tiny study, but might worth experimenting if you regularly struggle with 'wired but tired'?

I think all it requires is an ear clip (I remember a friend buying some of these very cheaply on eBay a while ago) and a TENs machine:

This study said treatments was 15 mins / day for 2 weeks. I wonder if that's enough or what the ideal amount of tVNS. Dr. Nemechek prescribes 2-4 hrs / day for more than 1 year.
