from what i've read the exact mechanisms behind it are not fully understood yet. (i hadn't even heard the term anaphylactoid reaction before looking into this.)

The main difference, in this link of an anaphylactic risk with NAC is the route of administration.

I have to take 2 Epipens with me, due to a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction to bee stings. But never from oral 700 mg NAC doses.

so i continued my experiment with the desensitization. it's been a week, i am still on the 0.1ml or 75mg dose. my eyes are still slightly swollen in the morning but i stopped taking the antihistamine a couple days ago too, so there is that. i developed a disliking (not quite disgust yet but it is definitely unpleasant) to the taste (sulfur) even though it is just that tiny amount in a bowl of muesli. i am going to experiment with just dissolving it in a bit of water, drink it, holding my nose if needed, flush that down with more water and see how it goes.

today i took the NAC in a glass of water (same dose) and drank plenty after. just minutes after i had a big rumble in my intestines and maybe 10mins later i had diarrhea which smelled heavily of sulfur (sorry for TMI). i was thinking to myself "that can't be" but knowing my body it is absolutely possible for it to react that quickly (almost instantaneously), it has happened before and it will happen again... so i am at a loss as what to do next, i have no reason to believe this would go any differently if i put the powder in a capsule and swallowed that instead.

i guess i have to switch to alternatives if i want to continue down this road.

I kept silent, but wondered sometime why you don't use the well-known alternatives to increase glutathione first instead? Working just as well. I concluded, must be a gut feeling, one can't argue with - since arguments for the alternatives were already extensively given. Glad your experience is pointing to a possible way now.

mainly because one is what i have at home and the other is something i have to put more time, effort and money into.

i tried glutathione but it didn't do anything for me, probably because of low bioavailability.
there is a liposomal variant of glutathione but it's expensive and idk if it's worth it.
there is acetylcysteine lysinate which still contains the sulfur so idk if my body would react any different to it.
there are the amino acids but i haven't had much effect (if any) from supplementing amino acids before (and they often cause me indigestion).

if you have a direct recommendation please let me know, otherwise i am going to wait till the multivitamin gets here (for the molybdenum). funnily enough this is the first time i experience delays with iherb as they are having trouble with their carrier: "Your order is delayed due to carrier issues. Please check your tracking number for more information while we work with the carrier to resolve this issue. Carriers may take up to 48-72 hours to provide updates."

i saw it
The cheapest vitamin at € 19,- available in local stores a kilo. You already tried it. As effective, or with high enough doses more effective, than other options.
are you talking about vitamin c? if so i tried high dose ascorbic acid (had an effect for one day) and i take 600mg of sodium ascorbate daily (more when necessary).
