Both of my kids one boy and one girl have gotten stretch marks at age 13. Is this a b12 defficiency? I got them too when I was that age. Neither one are over weight, they are actually on the thin side.
Hi Y'all;
Stretch marks, or striae, may indicate a zinc deficiency.
Striae may also occur as a result of abnormal collagen formation, or a result of medications or chemicals that interfere with collagen formation. They may also be associated with longtime use of cortisone compounds,diabetes, Cushing disease, and post-pregnancy.Causes
- Cushing syndrome
- Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
- Pregnancy
- Puberty
- Obesity
- Overuse of cortisone skin creams
