It's a problem with the way Groupcard is set up. The first comment has been used to very briefly outline the overall message (limited characters preclude a longer message). . I'm a numpty when it comes to adding photos to this site... if someone can tell me how it's done I can add a screen grab.

The text on the first message is: ""Many thanks for stating in your Manifesto that 'medically unexplained symptoms' (MUS) should not be regarded as a mental health condition. Of c. 250k UK patients with ME/CFS, about 3/4 are women. May 12 was International ME Awareness Day. WHO defines it as neurological, not MUS or biopsychosocial."

It would be good to get a very full card of signatures by the deadline of Friday week. I'm surprised more haven't realized what a 'watershed' this is: a UK political party basically going to war on MUS on UK soil. Why more aren't rushing to thank them I have no idea! (Chaps welcome).
You don't have to be politically aligned with with the WEP (though why anyone wouldn't want equal rights for women I'm not sure).. this is simply a 'thankyou' for the recognition that MUS has no place as a spurious 'mental health' condition. Surely everyone who is so exercised by MUS on this forum would want to add their signature?

To insert an image into a post, you will need to park the file online somewhere (you could use http://tinypic.com/ if you don't have a blog or website where you can upload an image to).

Then copy the URL for its location; then click the Image button in the editor (looks like a sun over mountains, to the immediate right of the Smiley button). A field will display into which you insert the URL for where the image file has been parked.

Or, make a screen grab, resize it, save the image as a .jpg or .png file and click "Upload a File" (centre button on right, next to "Post Reply").

It's worth reading more of the health policy statements such as:
"There are many different examples of gender inequalities in health care. Men are less likely to seek medical help and their life expectancy is shorter, which many researchers have attributed to toxic masculinity. Women’s symptoms and pain are too often disbelieved and are treated less effectively. Women are more likely than men to be told their symptoms are psychosomatic, to be dismissed without further investigation, and even to be given sedatives rather than adequate pain relief. ""

Sharpe and Creed were the UK members of the DSM-5 SSD Work Group.

Creed is now retired from U of Manchester but still busy on the circuit and with Euronet-Soma.

Dr Alastair Santhouse is apparently a miracle worker with Prof Trudie Chalder whose CFS service is at the cutting edge of CFS research . 65% of his CFS patients are much improved, even recovered, with GET/CBT. When he isn't performing such miracle cures he is touring the country spreading the good news of his amazing success with the medical profession.

I have an audio of the Fink Birthday Aarhus Symposium from 2014.

Creed, Sharpe and Peter White were all speakers at that Symposium and they were all over Fink.

How "wonderful" he was - how he had "saved that girl [sic]" whom the protest outside was about.

Makes for very queasy listening.
