You, too @Judee. For the first time in my 75 years we didn't put a tree up. I thought the old decorations were adding to the allergy and headaches, coughs, migraines, etc. Not so....it's just as bad as ever. There is no doubt that things are worse in the winter and we're better off outside, if possible.

So, I'm stuck in our bedroom, which smells exactly like a baby's room with the vaporizer on and plenty of Vick's. You know that smell from childhood and the steam does help....until I leave that room.

Are you going to be able to make it to church or not? I know you haven't been well, and if there's a place you can go, I'm sure it would be for a Christmas service. Another year....perhaps next.

I also wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope you can at least find something funny to watch during the day if family isn't around. I don't know if our daughter will make it in with the weather being the mess it is, but we'll live it as it comes. Our grandson also turns 17 on Xmas Day. Our other daughter and her family are here and we'll decide what to do if the other can't make it. I hate to think of them spending the day in a waiting room....but it happens to all of us. As long as they're safe.

Well, most of you can dream of a "White Christmas" with some certainty. Enjoy it and be careful. Have plenty of supplies that you may need in...one never knows. Merry Christmas & if alone, a passable day with some special treat. Yours, Lenora

No. Unfortunately not. Like everyone here I keep trying to improve to a higher level of functioning but it hasn't happened yet. I keep praying so for myself and people on PR too.

Thank you so much for asking, @lenora. :)

Good news ! I have been awarded my new home ... A ground floor apartment in a small over 50s complex gated community . It has gardens . It's near a main road which should be putting me off but not enough to not want it ... Wax earplugs may be my friend .

Next step will be home help going to do a visit and then to look at when to move .

The horrible dilemma I'm in is ( bit explicit so excuse the details ) . I've started bleeding again ( post menopausal ) . I need to go for an ultra sound to rule out thickened lining . 10% of women have cancer ...
It's booked for 13 Jan ... I'll then be in a flare up for 6wks no doubt .

I'm also awaiting for the courts to issue a date for hearing re eviction from here .
I can afford to pay 2 rents and move later but I can't control the courts . Would much prefer to not have hearing and have the privilege of paying the fees . But hey I mustn't let that sway decision making .

I really want to be moved . It's ok here odd and frustrating but ok . 1/2 packed boxes .
I know I need.to .put my health first and let that guide the way . Rrrrr what a place to be in ...

I've just got some stability back after a neighbour visited 2 mths ago ! Imagine !
I really don't want to have to go through what's ahead and be in wks of flare but hum looks like that's out of.my control .

Ultimately I need.to keep turning to my spiritual power and get quiet in meditations and 2 way prayer/ writing .

It's good to share it hear and any experience / I n sights people have I welcome .
I so want to be on the other side of all this . It's been a tough year .... I can see light ...but I can also see more suffering .....urrrrr

X

Doubly hard to coordinate everything, especially with ME and other health issues, huh?

Praying everything will fall into place for you and that you'll be given some extra strength from above to get you over the rough spots. Still I do understand the stress of worrying before everything gets done. Definitely more strength is needed than we have access to within ourselves.

When do you think you will learn the move-in date? Also do you think you can check with the court clerk or someone on the eviction notice to see when it comes up for review. I know things can still be variable but at least to have a little more idea maybe. ???

Well, congrats on the one hand @Emmarose47. Yes, I use foam earplugs (purple) and they're great for noise blocking...just takes some practice to get them in right. Once you learn though, they're great.

Insofar as moving goes, consider the worry as at least 50% of the whole, if not more....and you can take all of the time in the world with unpacking. It's easy to become overwhelmed, we all know that.

Pull out your Blue Book, and other books that help, and spend time with them and remember that half of our worries are just that....useless worries. Too bad about your health, though. That's an unexpected addition. You were doing well and are stronger in mind now. Bear that in mind.

We'll be praying for you, count on it. Lots of prayers to go around these days. At the very least, the universe needs them....and they can take many forms. :star::cake: (Christmas cake)

@Judee....I'm sorry that you won't even make church as I know it's important to you. So cuddle up well, and remember that God is all around you, holding you and you always return his kindness with thanksgiving and being kind to others.

At the very least, I hope you'll find a service on TV and then later a movie you can enjoy. If you never saw it, I'd recommend LOVE ACTUALLY. It's a British one with actors/actresses you'll recognize. It's just sweet. Perhaps other suggestions will flow in. Put your heater on and make yourself cozy. Many blessings.
Yours, Lenora:heart::star:

@Emmarose47 that's great news!

@Judee thanks. I crashed badly after putting on the radiators for winter and worked out it was the outgassing from gloss paint. I bought a litre tin of paint to fix that - £80 a tin! and it has made a huge difference and I am back on track, but still a long way to go to being sorted.

I am getting to know some of the residents, who meet three afternoons a week for pub games. Most don't meet. I am getting on well with them and enjoying being in a community. It has been an excellent move and I am happy here. There is support and help in the background if I need it, and then there is the communal heating!

Sounds like a winner Brenda ...are u in USA ?
These over 50s communities are a blessing .. the council got it really right in the UK developing so many . The one I'm going to was built Around the time I was born early 70s . I'm looking forward to being around more people .. won't be able to socialise too much but a little . There's gardens too and people can have pets . I adore dogs so hoping there are some .

After looking at the housing register all yr I've seen so much property over the city . Most is on large estates with not great reputations . So grateful the area I'm going to is nice and not too far fr where I am now . So many people out there homeless , living in poor housing , hostels etc ... Families cramped in temporary accomodation . I pray each nite for them .

So grateful I won't go to temporary accom ( that was my worst fear. Also that I'll be out the private rental market ...it's not a great place to be these days ..
