I remember HMB from my "bodybuilding" days. It seems to work anticatabolic by suppressing cortisol. A lot of CFS patients already have low cortisol from adrenal fatigue so i don't know if HMB would be helpful.

An amino acid type supp they use to use in a similar way was OKG, supposedly helped increase growth hormone levels etc but had anticatabolic effects. From memory they had to use high doses like 8 grams a day so can work out pricey but then these days can buy alot of supps in bulk and get them cheap??
