Classifying human as animals in the original question, as we are! Just more evolved :)

I wouldn't say that we're more evolved, since that assumes an end goal for evolution. Creatures that haven't changed much in hundreds of millions of years are perfectly evolved to their environmental niche.

Ask any cat, or maybe an otter. I'm sure they're convinced they're the peak of evolution. :)

Haha yes, I only meant in terms of being the dominant species. I have no doubt my cats think they’re far more highly evolved than I am, they certainly own the place.
