This website is written by a person with orthostatic intolerance who decided to try a g-suit (as used by fighter pilots) for lower-body compression.

A quick summary of the suit (actually pants):

One advantage over compression tights is that you can adjust the pressure, or even completely release it, while wearing the pants. I’m not sure how hard they are to get on and off, but I think it’s easier than high-grade compression.

Very interesting information on hyperadrenergic POTS. My doctor is highly suspicious that I have hyperadrenergic POTS. Can you please point me to articles and research so I can educate myself in the nuances of Hyperadrenergic POTS? Thanks.
Dr Satish Raj usually covers hyperadrenergic POTS in his talks and general articles. I’m sorry, I can’t point you to anything directly.

He has several general talks on POTS here, but you will have to scroll through to find them:
https://www.youtube.com/@DysautonomiaInternational

(Other autonomic specialists cover it too, but my mind has gone blank.)

Your doctor might be able to access this book chapter:
https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-030-54165-1_5

Another proposed classification was “high flow” and “low flow”. I’m sorry but I don’t know much about these (not having POTS myself).

And if you want to get into it a bit more deeply:

Forgot to link to photographs of g-suit being worn:
http://oiresource.com/pictures.htm

(I think the tube is detachable.)

The author of the website says that people often think it is for sport (such as rockclimbing) or a trade.

It would be difficult to combine it unobtrusively with office clothing, although I think you could wear it under a voluminous skirt or palazzo pants for a formal event.

If you live near an airforce base you might get some quizzical looks, but I imagine anyone who asked you about it would then be intrigued by its “civilian” use.
