I have heard ME/CFS doctors colloquially refer to ME/CFS as "chronic fatigue". It's a natural thing to abbreviate terms in causal speech. Of course it may have better to have used the full CFS name in this tweet, but it's a tweet, and tweets often uses abbreviations and causal language.
Now if this was on say an official web page about ME/CFS, then it might be more significant.
I read the dramatic title of this thread "Brace yourself for this tweet", and was bracing myself for sometime bad, but really, I can see very little untoward here.
