I listened to this podcast: https://functionalforum.com/podcast-immunometabolism-the-next-frontier-in-systems-biology/

In it, the doctor talks about one part of the treatment for Lyme and mold induced chronic fatigue being peptides, namely BPC 157 and another one, called Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP). The BPC 157 is to turn off neuroinflammation and the VIP purportedly as a final piece down the healing path to restore normal mitochondrial function.

Has anyone been put on BPC with VIP? Or heard of/tried VIP?
Where is itnpossuble to obtain vasoactive intestinal peptide

does anyone have experience healing cervical spine ligaments with peptides? and inflammation and pain? wondering which peptides would be best and if people have guides on how to inject locally in that fairly sensitive area. its for my craniocervical instability. will probably need surgery but we want to avoid lower cervical instability and fusing...

I do--i have a herniated disc at c5/c6/c7. At one point it caused me a lot of pain, and a slight weakness in my left arm. After a month or so of pain, I used bpc-157 at 500 mcg a day, and after 3 or 4 days the pain was completely eliminated. The weakness remains, but for pain it was amazing.

Does anyone have theories about why some people react poorly to bpc157? I think it's this website that I read one or two bad experiences, one with a breathing issue, and I've heard poor response issue somewhere else too. Definitely have seen "can cause anxiety" in a few places. @bensmith I saw you said more dysautonomia. But great that you had less brain fog and sleep attacks and more positive. I tried the oral so far and some mental/emotional symptoms. So I didn't attempt the injectable but I have it waiting to be reconstituted and I'll try in the future at some point. I'm wondering what may need to change in me in order for me to not react poorly in the future, as it's such a valuable peptide.

@frozenborderline I know of a doctor that does injections of bpc into cervical ligaments, and another one comes to mind as well from watching a peptide summit. Both anesthesiologists who can use ultrasound to guide into the right places. So I know it's done. I mean it's not a one time thing though so it might be something where you'd get a series of treatments over an amount of time. I'm interested too for ghkcu and bpc. And I think it will grow, absolutely. As for right now? Depending on your ability for how far you can travel and cost I might be able to help you on the right track to finding doctors who do this. I think the systemic affects of things like bpc 157 are very promising though, as in just fat injections. Have you decided to try it?

@PisForPerseverance honestly not sure. I just injected some into my fat i feel so much better i dont know i can stop taking this. Hopefully fat versus oral changes something? Is that possible?

maybe ill adjust to the sides.

and would you need to inject into the neck, what about just into the gut?

@bensmith I'm happy for you. Hopefully it continues helping you. The neck injections was just in reference to what frozenborderline was talking about. For general systemic affects, fat is good.

Thats interesting you mentiom breathing issues. This peptide is a miracle but it kills my breathing. Legit might be dangerous. Have dosed in two days and still not at baseline. Im jonesing for it though it increases pem threshold, tons of other good stuff. Just terrible one side.

Sadly indont think there is anything we can do : (

If i coild take this i think itnwoild get me out of the cfs danger zone.

Which doctor was it that does the injections of bpc?

Bpc 157 is too large of a molecule to be absorbed transdermal no matter the solvent. Correct, @Hip ?

Yes, I believe so. BPC-157 is 1419 daltons in molecular weight, and the maximum size you can get across the skin is about 500 daltons.

If you used the skin permeation enhancer technology that Dr Greg Russell-Jones uses for his B12 oils, you would be able to get BPC-157 across the skin. But I do not know any other product other than Greg's which uses this permeation enhancer tech.

@rpapen77 dmed me some info about some really concerning side effects of bpc157 , interfering with analgesia, etc. I was a bit skeptical but I'm sure they understand better than me so I'll let them explain it
