3-hydroxypropionic acid.

There were high amounts of
3-hydroxypropionic acid found in my urine, I was told that:
„this definetely doesnt belong there“.
But they shrugged it off eventually.
Since they didnt not know what it could mean.
Has anyone out there ever heard if this? cant find anything in google.

Er? Hydracrylic acid (synonymous) is a stabilizer used in urine tests. Which lab was that????

Can be caused by gut bacteria it says here. And reduced by Neomycin.

@andyguitar THANK you, couldnt find anything🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe I wrote it wrong several times…
@Martin aka paused||M.E. it was synlab , a swiss Lab.
They then sended the report of urine to a Dr of metabolic diseases, but he had no idea either. they just told me its a thing which is produced by certain bacteria or if you have certain diseases, but eventually I was left alone without knowing what it is and if this should be treated…

@andyguitar has the answer... I only wonder bc it's a stabilizer and thought there might be a mistake but that all makes sense now

@andyguitar I would like to, but still have no clue how. I will show my Dr the article above and ask if we could Neomycin give a try, but dont think he will be into that. But Im sure he has no idea where to look anyway.

Still cant leave Bed and my Dr is busy, but told me to visit soon.[whatever „soon“ means..]
Do you have something particular in mind?

I cant find the lab atm but I remember that that one Dr told me its more than 300times higer than it should be. But he didnt orescribede anything and it seemed that he didnt know what this results means.

Thanks for your thoughts,
I will do some research on antibiotics, then.[and try to find out how I could get my Dr to prescribe it]

oh wow, that is even more interesting!
Thanks you for that link, I will show it to my Dr. too.
Your welcome
But don't be surprised if the doc blows it off. They don't like patients giving them information, they seem to think that as the experts advice should only flow in one direction.
But some of those supplements can be tried without a prescription, but the inborn metabolism errors you might need actual testing for. I would start there, see if you can get the doc to test or send you to a specialist before trying the supplements. Get some investigations done if you can.
