I just got a "save the date" card in the mail from Whittemore Peterson Institute for this benefit. The date is set for Friday, September 10, 2010. It's been a bad day for me so I actually teared up when I read the card.

I doubt I'll be able to make it to this benefit but I do hope that we all dance again one day! :victory:

On to the actual information....I've quoted the text from the card below:

"Annette and Harvey Whittemore and the Whittemore Peterson Institute request that you reserve the date for this evening of dining and dancing. Your donations support comprehensive research into the causes of and effective treatments for neuro-immune diseases.

For more information call Katie Porath at 775-321-5974 [that's in the USA] or email kporath@spinstitute.org
Please make your room reservations early at the Peppermill Resort Casino: 1-800-282-2444 (Event ID: LWPI10) "

 Hugs to all!

Does anyone know if there is a charity auction at this event? I have an idea for a prize but not sure how to offer it or the best way to raise funds from it. I did email the appropriate link on WPI but haven't heard back.

Anyone with fundraising experience? I think this could be a regular earner but any advice on how to maximize it would be welcome x x
