What has helped your noise sensitivity and hyperacusis the most?

I find very low dose amisulpride (12.5 mg daily) reduces my sound sensitivity by about 50%. It does not completely eliminate it, but substantially improves it.

On the Reddit hyperacusis forum, the tricyclic antidepressant clomipramine appears to be used.
Thanks!

Yes, Ive seen on reddit and in fb groups that people seems to respond to Clomipramine.

I am quite terrified of benzos. I guess its not possible to use these without getting dependant?

I found that when my ME/CFS and ANS symptoms were worse a few years ago, so was my noise sensitivity, which is normally not a big issue for me. Boring answer: the same dysfunction that causes most of my issues seems to affect this, so for me it wasn't one thing that helped.

Do you take it internally? Apply it topically? Homemade? Is it easy to make?
I do both. And yes, it is easy to make. I had a license to purchase marijuana a few years ago, and did not care for it, so I decided to make my own CBD stuff. I just use coconut oil in a crockpot, making sure that the dried plant has undergone decarboxylation before adding it. There are recipes on line for making your own. The resulting ointment is edible, and it is also soothing when applied to the skin.

I"v e been getting some locally produced Omega 3/6/9 from hemp. I need to get some more, as it's part of a sort of Fix My Membranes protocol I'd like to benefit from.
