Yeah, but this was the 1940's and there's no way something like that could happen today. WE are so much more evolved than our grandparents were. They did things like this to test the effectiveness of penicillin. Whatever we are up to, you can be sure that it's being done for profit

Does kind of make you wonder what they'll be talking about in 2060. I'm afraid that we may already have a pretty good idea.

Absolutely disgusting.

ETA: And to think they had the courtesy of announcing this on a Friday afternoon, so that the news cycle won't amplify this and interfere with the general sense of ignorant bliss.

Could this not be affecting many of us now? Our forefathers that had this illness, for some it is a family secret. How are the offspring of these patients doing, the ones that know about it that is?????
