That is not exactly what the conclusion of that paper was. It stated that ME/CFS patients found value in using their supplements.

My quote was about no consistent trends. Some of us do benefit from a specific supplement, while others get no benefit from it, and still others get worse on it. Can PWME benefit from supplements? Definitely possible. Is there a supplement that is consistently helpful for PWME? Not that I know of.

Follow up on this. Found an amazing doc in my area. Shes young but probably has more knowledge than any doc I've seen in the last 3 years.

First appointment back in June and she diagnosed me with babesia in 5min from hearing my symptoms.

She uses much a better lab than most docs (vibrant wellness or Igenex) and in July a tick borne diaease panel came back positive for 4 strains of lyme, bartonella, babesia, toxoplasmosis, and tick borne relapsing fever lol.

I learned more from her than idk how many docs in the past couple years and I don’t even think she is 30. She showed me most docs truly have no idea what they’re doing. Completing medical school will likely be thanks to her.

Not gonna lie it makes me mad at some of these other CFS and integrative med docs I’ve seen. Spending thousands to not get the quality of care I got from her for a few hundred

I worked with Jon Kaiser over the phone a couple of times 3-4 years ago, along with some email interactions. Based on my own experience, I wouldn't recommend him. I thought his focus was too narrow, and didn't listen to what I had told him my priorities were.

He seemed very amenable and understanding of my viewpoints and stated needs in our initial consult, but became fairly obstinate and even disrespectful when I asked him to follow through and some of his initial consult commitments.

I quickly realized he wanted to do HIS program on HIS timeline, and had little tolerance for what I wanted or preferred. He was expensive, and I felt pushed to make appointments I didn't feel I was ready for. He even charged me for an appointment (televisit) I feel I didn't make and would never have made. In short, he wanted to do things HIS way.

That said, I somehow continue to be on his email list, and get periodic updates from him. I thought his take on the mRNA COVID vaccines was interesting, and thought it had merit. So am posting it to this thread. -- Best to All...

Hello:
As a physician, my first priority is to do no harm. That is why I have been closely following the continuing research on the safety of mRNA Covid vaccines. Making sense of everything you hear in the press can be a daunting task.
Based on the latest research findings, some of which I will summarize below, I am no longer recommending that any of my patients receive an mRNA Covid vaccination. Instead, I now recommend to patients whose situation would benefit from getting vaccinated for Covid-19 that they get the NovaVax vaccine.
The NovaVax vaccine is the only non-mRNA updated COVID vaccine that is available in the U.S. This vaccine is a protein adjuvant, standard vaccine that had a 90% efficacy in its clinical trial, performing almost as well as the mRNA vaccines in their early trials. It is not an mRNA vaccine. Studies of the Novavax vaccine showed it to be 90% effective against lab-confirmed, symptomatic infection and 100% effective against moderate and severe disease in Phase 3 trials published in The New England Journal of Medicine in December 2021. It has been updated to work against the more recent Covid strains. Its incidence of side effects is low and includes injection site tenderness, fatigue, headache and muscle pain (Yale Medical School website).
In contrast, mRNA-based vaccines continue to alarm many doctors and researchers around the world with a very high incidence of side effects. These include myocarditis, heart attack, stroke, neurological dysfunction and what is now termed “turbo tumors”. These are fast growing, poorly differentiated tumors occurring in young people and individuals with minimal risk factors.
Rather than stimulate only the muscle cells in a person’s arm to generate antigenic spike protein, mRNA vaccines have been shown to spread throughout the body sometimes generating massive amounts of spike protein to be produced in organs such as the heart and lungs. This situation can stimulate a very aggressive inflammatory state in some people.
The first chart below shows the number of deaths from the mRNA Covid-19 vaccines in blue compared to the number of deaths from all other approved vaccines administered since 1990 shown in gold. The number of deaths attributed to the Covid-19 vaccines are much higher than we’ve ever seen for a vaccine. These data are from a recent published article in the International Journal of Risk and Safety in Medicine. Here is the link: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/epub/10.1177/09246479241292008.
The second chart below, published in the same peer-reviewed article, reports the deaths per million doses administered (red bars). The blue bars represent the total number of doses given. Dating back to 1990, the highest death rate seen and tolerated was 3.6 deaths per million doses given. There have been at least 18.5 deaths per million doses reported with the Covid-19 vaccines. Deaths due to vaccine injury are also believed to be significantly under reported.
Here is a link to Dr. John Campbell, a retired health educator in England, who provides a very nice summary. I suggest you subscribe to his channel to be kept aware of the latest mRNA vaccine research:
.
Individual needs and questions can be addressed at your next visit.
Wishing you all a healthy and joyful winter. Dr. Jon Kaiser
