Just like in diabetes and other diseases like hepatitis, could different hgrv/xmrv type retroviruses cause some of all the differences we see among ME patients ?
I think it's best to avoid getting fixated on any specific cause of ME/CFS in anyone. Better to wait for the research to present us with the evidence.Just like in diabetes and other diseases like hepatitis, could different hgrv/xmrv type retroviruses cause some of all the differences we see among ME patients ?
Well.. at the moment there is no particular reason to suspect those viruses are involved
Well there is prospective research showing increased incidence of ME/CFS following certain infections, including some viruses. But they're rather boring normal viruses, nothing new or shocking, and nothing retroviral.Or any virus for that matter.
The RV family discovered by Ruscetti and Mikovits is the discovery that is currently seeing many patients really getting better.
I would like to hear more about this from these patients - is this possible?
With modern means of communication and search it is always possible to track down the information you want, thankfully.
