treatment for shallow breathing but not sleep apnea

I do not have sleep apnea but I have shallow breathing when I sleep. I definitely sleep a little better when I wake up very early and do a long deep breathing session, then go back to sleep. Is there any real medical treatment for shallow breathing during sleep not caused by sleep apnea?

this can have many reasons.
1. check position, sleeping on the left, sleeping on the right, sleeping on the back. if the reason is blood flow or heart related it makes a huge difference if you sleep left side or right side. i experienced this in phases where i can sleep good on the left side but on the right side its harder to get air in.

2. electrolyte imbalances. when i take potassium or potassium rich meals, i feel sometimes on the next day that in sleep i have worse breathing, sometimes in panic sitting up and then it is fine again.
this is reported in forum from various folks, that they feel like they would stop breathing if they do not think of it.

3. then there is air hunger, look for it in the forum. it can have multiple reasons.
just found this: https://forums.phoenixrising.me/threads/can-anyone-help-vlad-vexler-on-x.93288/#post-2475117

4. did you check your blood pressure when you are in shallow breathing state? if possible try to do. this is to find out if its more cardiac related.

5. did you measure o2 with pulsoximeter? i would check this too. this is for finding out if you actually have low o2.

my best guess:
i would suggest you take b1 as benfothiamine or allithiamine in combination with potassium (like potatoe or coconut water) and with a bit of sodium. coconut water might already have sodium.
b1 and potassium require each others. sometimes even phosphorus is required in addition, like yoghurt/kefir.
