@douglasmich Senna tea can be used more often than once per month, per the instructions on the box I own. SIBO, if that's what it is, gets worse if you let yourself stay backed up for so long; I'd use the senna (or cascara sagrada, which I like better) to get things moving, if I were in your shoes.

Hope you have some progress soon.

I read senna is very dangerous.

I don't think SIBO is the problem i think its secondary. I do suspect i have alot of methane though because after an enema i seem to have motility for a day.

Think im going to need pharma antibiotics to wipe out this constipating flora. Then FMT. Hopefully i respond. The protocol that cured me (before stopping ) was
3g goldenseal
400mg oregano
1500mg neem
1500mg allicin

And it took 3.5 weeks. Then i started having perfect BMs best in 20 years. But as soon as i stopped i relapsed. I think FMT will be vital to prevent the relapse.

Feeling very bad and depressed lately. I am going to try an RS enema tonight again because i am pretty sure the last one i did really boosted my mood.

2tbsp RS
1 capsule prescript assist
2 capsule ultimate flora

Hope it works.

btw my stool test had some mitakes with the pathogens. This is what i have.

My friend that has no constipation did the same test and his gut was 10x worse then mine in the test. SO i dont think these are very accurate.

to me it feels often like a full body paralysis. the best i can explain.

as its not only the gut.
its my stomach, my legs, my breathing, my brain...

the gut thing/constipation can have so many reasons.
personally, i dont see for me that the gut microbes are the main cause for this.

this doesnt mean, it will help somewhat if you take probiotics etc.

I had a consultation with Prof. Paul Froomes today. He said to fix my constipation I need a new microbiome essentially. He said I need to take Rifaxamin & Vancomycin for a few weeks to eradicate the dysbiosos then follow it up with 10 days of FMT at his clinic along with laxatives to retrain colon motility. Then he will airmail me frozen FMT every 3 months as a microbiome top up.
I asked if before I commit to a FMT program can I trial these antibiotics to see if a get a response. He said yes and he is mailing me them as we speak. If I respond then I will do his complete program and hopefully cure this problem.

I'm just worried about my drug sensitivity.

The effect of oral vancomycin on chronic idiopathic constipation.

FMT's can be tricky. I've read about a lot of people that have had negative reactions to them. From what I've read, using a healthy family member as a donor seems the be the safest approach.

Home FMT is alot differnt.

THese FMTs have the bacteria filtered out from the stool and also with vigourous testing.

I do expect some die off though

The negative reports I've read were from doctor administered FMTs.

Good luck with the treatment. Hope it provides some relief.

The usual procedure now is laxatives to empty the bowel contents followed up with antibiotics to kill off the lingering bacteria then FMT to repopulate you with good bacteria.
Oh, I see. I thought that meant the laxative and FMT were used during the same time period.

Yes i will be having laxatives as i am doing FMT otherwise i wont be able to eat fiber to feed the bugs.

This is because i have slow transit.

Frozen FMT im not sure, but they only offer that after you have done a program with them

@douglasmich

You might like to do a search on the work of Diane Driscol (sorry can't provide a link at the moment) who cured her gastric motility problems with a nicotine patch after she worked out that the problem was being caused by a sluggish vagus nerve. I think others chew nicotine gum when they wish to move their bowels.
