Supplement with B12 even with normal/high serum levels?

Hi,

when someones serum b12 levels are normal/high and there is no indication of b12 deficency (normal/high Holo-TC and low serum MMA), is supplementation of b12 (shots or sublingual) necessary when dealing with the methylation protocol?

It would be much easier to only deal with methyfolate and to just ramp b12 to high levels, as it is stored in the liver. Or does the methylation protocol rapidly deacrease the stored b12 so ongoing supplementation is necessary?

Thanks!

Best regards,
hberg

The methylation rapidly decreases the b12. Butyou might start on smaller doses b12 to begin with and see if you might need more.
