Curious if anyone may have any ideas on how to go about possibly living abroad somewhere like Mexico on ssdi?

Though I do think they require you to show proof of income and I think I remember that you have to renew your visa pretty often.

I was in Mexico a few months ago, in Merida. There are a good number of ex-pats there. A lot of popular international retirement countries/cities have Ex-pat Facebook groups. You might want to join some of them and ask this question to them.
