@RuralRick - Sorry for pulling up this old thread (I found it while I was doing a forum search). I have this issue too. I find when I hardly sleep and have insomnia issues I seem to have more energy and don't feel tired despite lack of sleep and then like at the moment I have now shifted back to sleeping (I have no clue why this has happened) I find that I wake-up very fatigued and find it hard to do anything. I prefer insomnia in some ways because at least I have energy to do things. However, it probably just eventually catches up with me and then I crash, but I can have insomnia for months on end.
