Yours is the third recovery/improvement story I've read in the past month that I found to be both inspiring and insightful) @pamojja @shastamax
I’ve only read about people’s success with Valtrex. There was a post awhile back. Someone put together a list of success stories and how many levels they improved with their interventions. By far the best results were from people who took various anti viral medication. I remember Valtrex was the most popular drug.

In its first post, it lists just 3 success stories with Valtrex. Similar 3 only, where Wayne thought he could see similarities here too:
The biggest similarity are chronic diseases for decades, where conventional medicine knows no cure, therefore questioning, self-reliance, trial and error individual approach instead,
But all that we have in common with many moderate severe self-experimenters here on this forum. Sadly, without affecting remissions for most.
But let's be honest. Only success stories are worth writing. There are literary thousands here where neither Valtrex: Nor questioning, self-reliance, individual trial and error approaches brought relieve from ME/CFS.
The best result from Valtrex, though still no placebo controlled trial, was in EBV-positive ME/CFS only.
