Does anyone know the reason why manganese is also included in some protocols for pyroluria "other than" from what I've read in that taking larger doses of zinc can lower manganese levels? The reason I ask is because according to the info on this site, manganese is not listed as being an antagonist of zinc....

Zinc Antagonists / Inhibitors:

Iron, calcium, phosphorus, selenium, sodium, nickel,

copper, Vitamin B1, Vitamin C, niacin / niacinamide,

folic acid, choline, lecithin, alcohol, phytic acid,

oxalic acid, [Vitamin A - large amounts].
