I have received my results back from the rheumatologist and my compliment and immunoglobulins are up.


I've attached results.

Could someone help me understand what this means? The rheumatologist wasn't very helpful.

High IGM and IGA indicate my body is still fighting something.

WHO should I see next? Is there a way I can get tested for a number of viruses that may cause this? Will it go away on its own?

It's been 6 months of suspected covid but never tested, I am open minded to looking at other causes if there is a chance of antiviral treatment.

Any thoughts, support or advice is welcome... I am so desperate to work out what is wrong with me, please respond if you know anything about this subject no mater how small.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of viruses that infect the human body and cause disease have no diagnostic tests available. A rough guess is that only 0.1% of the viruses that infect people and cause disease have any diagnostic tests at all, unfortunately.

Is there a way I can get tested for a number of viruses that may cause this?

The main viruses linked to ME/CFS are: coxsackievirus B, echovirus, Epstein-Barr virus, cytomegalovirus, HHV-6, parvovirus B19 and the also the bacterium Chlamydia pneumoniae.

The tests ME/CFS doctors use for these viruses are detailed in this roadmap. And the antiviral / immunomodulatory treatments employed by these doctors are detailed also.

Coronavirus may be a new virus that can also trigger ME/CFS, judging by all these cases of long haul COVID that are appearing.

You might try an infectious disease specialist, an immunologist, or an AIDS doctor. Ideally someone who's very curious about finding your infection, as it does seem something is percolating along there.

There is a machine at UCSF which apparently can find all sorts of weird infections in one's CSF.

If you do have reason to suspect it's COVID-19, you might try The protocol mentioned in the paper you've already found. Or, thymosin alpha 1, available as zadaxin in many Asian countries or as a compound as a peptide in the US and elsewhere.

Thanks, I'm booking an appointment with an infectious disease specialist ASAP to try to hunt down this infection if possible..

I'm not sure what paper you are referring to?

I think I am going to try and hunt down what is causing the infection and if we manage to exclude everything else but covid then I will start to narrow my search down to possible tests and treatments that may work..

I'm also very curious to know how my T cells, Nk cells and interferon are doing as well as get a screening on inflammatory cytokines.
