currently, I use Thorne Betaine HCL w Pepsin. One serving (2 capsules) has 1g Betaine and 47 mg Pepsin.
I've been happy w Thorne, but it has silica (as silicon dioxide) and I'm trying to remove as many bad fillers as possible from the stuff I take. I just found Metabolic Maintenance Betaine HCL w Pepsin and it has no silica, however, the Pepsin content is very high per serving (1 capsule), Betaine HCL 648, Pepsin 200..
does more pepsin = more efficacy?
Also, the thorne pepsin is porcine, which is working fine for me... any thoughts on pepsin sources re efficacy?
