I have sent the following e-mail to the NIH with questions I have about the public notifications they have published about this telebriefing, See a copy of my e-mail below. I will update this thread when I receive a response to these questions.

Questions re the NIH ME/CFS Listserv E-mail and the Public Announcement on the NIH’s Website for a ME/CFS Telebriefing on 3/7/2018

Trans-NIH ME/CFS Working Group,

I have several questions, which are set forth below, regarding the public information communicated via a 2/22/2018 NIH ME/CFS Listserv e-mail and information posted on 2/22/2018 on the NIH’s website page for its Trans-NIH ME/CFS Working Group event announcements.

My questions relate to the statement in the e-mail communication, quoted below, but not appearing on the NIH’s website for ME/CFS event announcements.

“Please remember to register at NIHME-CFSWorkingG@ninds.nih.gov if you plan to participate in the call.”

When clicking on this link it opens an e-mail link to mail an e-mail to the NIH. However, no instructions or other identifier(s) are included with this link.

Based on the instruction, quoted above, I have the following questions about the request for “registration” for this telebriefing.

1) What information is being requested to be sent in this e-mail?
2) When does this e-mail communication need to be sent/received by the NIH (i.e. deadline for sending the e-mail)?
3) Why is registration for this event being requested by the NIH’s listserv mailing, but not on the NIH website event notificication page?
4) Is registration required in order to have access to this telebriefing?

In addition to the questions set above, I was wondering why the PDF or the information in the PDF, which was included in the Listserv E-mail, does not appear on the NIH’s website page for ME/CFS Event Announcements. The PDF provides the call-in phone numbers for callers who are located outside of the U.S.

Thank you for your anticipated prompt response to my questions.

@Wally - I think I did this once before. In the e-mail I just gave my name and said I would be participating. I'm sure I referenced the name and date of the meeting in the subject line (ME/CFS Telebriefing March 7, 2018) I may have given my phone number, I can't remember. But it wasn't a big deal as I recall.
