The theory is that this destruction of the microbiome of the soil, combined with chemicals dumped into the ecosystem, leads to super toxins to proliferate in the environment and make sensitive people sick.
Medical problems don't require "super toxins". Our bodies are very complex, so even "usually safe for everyone" chemicals can cause problems in some individuals. I don't think my food intolerances are due to super toxins; it's the same food molecules that most people consume without problems, but something in my immune system, microbiome, or other subsystems is malfunctioning and responding inappropriately to those "safe" molecules.

The argument is that mold interacting with certain chemicals creates novel toxins. "super toxins" is a shorthand for this. This is the perspective of the mold avoidance people.

Erik Johnson, who was the prototype patient in the 80s Incline Village outbreak, has been saying for years that mold combined with environmental toxins, creating something new that made people sick. He was something of a naturalist and observed this was happening during a year when the lake's algal bloom was especially intense, pointing to imbalances in the environment.

I agree something in our immune system and microbiome doesn’t work like it should. But avoiding as much allergens/foods as possible gives the body some rest

"Belgium has a high population density of 383 inhabitants per square kilometer. This ranks it as the 38th most densely populated country globally and the 7th most densely populated in Europe"

i guess the spot in spain has less population density?

higher population density can mean more pollution. more scents. all the toxic crap modern humans like.
it also usually means higher EMFs.

Oddly, my allergy to Timothy grass pollen is far less than usual this year. I can see the seed heads sticking their sex organs out (shameless!), but aside from maybe a couple of sneezes a day, it's not bothering me. Last year my nose would gush until I took antihistamines, and had to take those for weeks. It's been cooler and wetter than usual this year, but I don't know why that would make the pollen non-allergenic. So, it's not just dry mountain air that can change allergic reactivity.

Hi, I have many food intolerances, beauty products intolerances, dog ‘allergy’
Although test chow no allergies ( except perfume, nikkel, colofonium contact allergies). It are intolerances or pseudo allergies. Maybe some kind of MCAS (also difficult to diagnose and find a practitionar for).
We travel sometimes and in Florence I experienced an improvement in allergies and ME.
But this month we went to Pinoso in Spain. We stayer for 5 days in the secluded mountains. It is warm (30 degrees celcius), dry climate and has low air pollution. Miraculously my allergies dissapeared, even to the dogs that lived there. My ME was somewhat better. How can this be?

I do not understand it. Is it because it is dry, because of the mediterrenean climate, because there is no traffic there and the air quality is better?

I would really like your help 🙏🏻🩷

I have tried antihistaminicums but they gave me to many side effects. I am almost allergic to all suppplements which makes treating my ME that much more difficult.
That is very interesting!
My new Dr. and his family moved from Spain five years ago.
We were just discussing the modified foods here in the USA and he told me since moving here his children has to have allergy shots on a weekly basis
And they are not energetic like they were.
I understand we have different pollens and scents that are not in Spain and different food and spices.
In our area air polution is low compared to other areas.
Our humidity is also lower here in Nc.
The weather here does not help my Cfs/me even in the mountains.
This is just my observation.
I apologize for my poor grammer, it comes from my condition.
Hope this may help!

Thank you for your reply. I do not think the food was a factor because we ate much the same as at home. It really must be something to do with climate or air. We are going to go back for a longer time (2 weeks) in januari. I am curious to see what happens to my allergies then
