Muscles gradually turning more and more lumpy - what is happening to the tissue?

Anyone relate to this? My forearms (the underside) are especially bumpy at the moment. It's like the muscle fibers are gradually changing and forming small (millimeter-sized) lumps. Is this phenomenon described anywhere?

Note these are not hard, painful, or muscle trigger points (which I'm all too familiar with ).

I get bumpy, when my body is particularly painful. I heard something about phosphorus metabolism but never had a straight answer on my case.
I always assume was my very small lymph nodes or like lymph net just becuase when I see the diagram was always on that aérea. But not sure
