We're organizing a #MillionsMissing protest in Berlin.

I can't be there in person as I'm home-/bedbound, but I'm very excited and looking forward to the event. It's the second #MillionsMissing event in Germany (after Hamburg in 2016, organized by the German Association for ME/CSF) and the first one in Berlin.

We designed "shoe messages" (DIN A5) and posters (DIN A3) that can be used. Of course that's a just an offer as support and everybody can get as creative as they like and can design their own messages and posters.

Program for the #millionsmissing visibility action in Berlin so far:

- ca. 200 shoes with messages
- posters created by pwME
- live performance of two songs with guitar (one was composed for Bedfest, one from Unrest)
- talks, e.g. by the German Association for ME/CFS
- 5 No Isolation tele avatars
- dance performance with cello music
- picture series from the Lost Voices Stiftung
- reading out loud messages from pwME
- info booth, buttons, brochures, fact sheets, banner, our own poster series, #millionsmissing posters
- ... (more is being planned)

You can watch three German #MillionsMissing visibility actions on May 12 via livestream on millionsmissingdeutschland.de. They will be streamed on a Facebook page, but no Facebook account is necessary to watch. We're very much looking forward to you joining us.

Dr. Grabowski from the Charité Berlin will attend our #MillionsMissing action in Berlin from 1 pm to 3 (or 3:30) pm on Saturday!

Five no isolation avatars have traveled from Amsterdam to Berlin and arrived yesterday. They will enable five bedbound pwME to be part a of the protest in Berlin.

Can someone let me know in English what happened in Gütersloh? What was the action there?

It was a small and relatively spontaneous but highly successful visibility action. It was organized by two people (with support from MillionsMissing Deutschland): shoes, shoe-messages, posters, info brochures. There wasn't a program, but many interested people asking questions and great conversations. Several young people with ME met. Doctors came by and were interested. People asked if they could help and do stuff like go shopping for severe patients. People asked for info and wanted to sign petitions.

So the visibility action in Gütersloh was an example that it doesn't need to be a huge event to have impact and be successful. Especially in a smaller city it's possible to get attention with a relatively small action.
