hi folks

Luxembourg (Number 11) was pretty brutal but got around in the end...

http://www.mikeseumarathons.eu/luxembourg.html

Over £700 raised from this one and now it's on to Vilnius (Lithuania) for the next race on Sept 10th.

I'll be doing a rare UK race next Sunday in Frome. It's a hilly half marathon that should help with my training for the 3 autumn marathons coming up.

If anyone lives locally and would like to come along to meet that would be great. I'll be there with my big flag and hopefully you can get your mug in the local paper with me.

Kicks off at 10am, more details here: http://fromehalfmarathon.co.uk/, if you're coming then let me know on https://www.facebook.com/mikeseumarathons/

Catch up soon

Hi all.

Quick update....

I managed to get some good exposure for ME research in Lithuania this week. An interview I did with a journalist attached to the marathon made it to Lithuania's biggest newspaper and online news site:

http://sportas.lrytas.lt/startai/20...--dvyliktoji-ambicingo-brito-stotele-2265594/

Lithuania patient interview to follow this weekend which I'll post soon.

Also I'll be running Bridgwater (Somerset) Half Marathon on Sunday at 11am. If anyone would like to cheer me on and come for a chat then it would be great to see you.

Info here: https://www.facebook.com/events/215...ed_story_type":"117","action_history":"null"}

Thanks

Mike

Evening all.

Here's my interview with Aleksas, an ME sufferer in Lithuania about his life with the illness and what it's like there as a patient.

http://www.mikeseumarathons.eu/lithuania.html

Please all RT and generally share the hell out of it. I'd love to help him raise awareness and maybe find other patients there he can talk to.

If you'd like to sponsor me for the race in Vilnius on Sunday and help fund Invest In ME's research projects to find a cure then I'm over at www.justgiving.com/mikeseumarathons

Thanks

Mike

Really happy with how Lithuania went with the national press coverage, patient interview and support from their Football Association and Vilnius Marathon. Over £1K in for Invest In ME's research projects too.

http://www.mikeseumarathons.eu/vilnius-lithuania-sept-2017.html

Total currently at £8175

Next up is Amsterdam on Oct 15th. Will post links to my interviews with patients and ME groups soon.

Thanks for your support

Yay! :balloons: I used to live in Berlin, but sadly had to move back home to my parents to be cared for. But I'll cheer you on from afar. And would love to help with contacting interview partners or translating if needed. I'm also in contact with Juli (she's awesome!). :)

Just a quick one to say thanks for supporting me this year everyone.

I hope you were able to have pleasant pain-free Christmasses and hope that 2018 is a better year.

Looking forward to making more friends next year and hopefully adding to the £9.6K we have for Invest In ME's biomedical research projects.
