"The prevalence of papillomaviruses, polyomaviruses and the Xenotropic Murine Leukemia Virus-Related virus infections in hyperplasia and carcinoma of the prostate" Middlesex University, RESEARCH STUDENTSHIP - MAY 2010

http://www.mdx.ac.uk/research/applications/fees/studentshipsmay2010-hss/naase.aspx

"The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of infection with human papillomaviruses, polyomaviruses and XMRV, in prostate cancer and to determine if there is any correlation between viral load or genome expression and the clinical grading on the hyperplasia or tumour. Findings should lead to a greater understanding of the role played by viruses in the development of prostate cancer."
