Just got this newletter:
"MEAction is excited to announce that we are hosting a virtual concert called #Bedfest on May 6th to showcase the experience of living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). The concert will be a lead up to the international day of awareness for ME on May 12th when cities across Europe will host #MillionsMissing rallies.

We welcome all submissions whether or not you consider yourself an artist. Join in the concert through song, spoken word, poetry, imagery or silent expression (lying in bed unable to open your eyes is a powerful way to show the horror of this illness). The only rule is that the performance must be done from your bed.

Submit your own short video clip by April 30th.

#Bedfest is inspired by Kaeley Pruitt-Hamm who was stricken with ME two years ago, and has since recorded an EP from her bed, Hi From Pillows, which she will debut in May. Read about Kaeley's journey with ME and music. "

I checked it out. What a great platform to provided to PWME to contribute their art to share with us. Really quite heart-warming

Thanks so much! Just recognised my dayglo bedlinen and thought 'what is this about'? #BedFest was brilliant, or rather is. I spent weeks looking at every single submission. Quite an emotional rollercoaster in terms of people's suffering, lack of support and recognition, and ability to go on and strive for beauty and expression if at all possible. Made me feel connected.
